Goals and Objectives for 2004-2005

Goal I. Provide Support for the design/implementation/evaluation of programs and services.

1. Research and identify existing programs/services
2. Develop linkages to disperse program information

1. Assist professionals and agencies to determine barriers to the success of children and young adults in their care:
   • Organizationally
   • Socially
   • Emotionally
   • Developmentally
2. Determine resources and strategies available to address and/or remove those barriers.
3. Determine resources and strategies that need to be developed in order to address and/or remove those barriers
4. Assist agencies and professional in the use of existing resources and strategies in order to address and/or remove barriers to success.

1. Gather and identify existing quality indicators
2. Establish a process for adopting quality indicators

1. Research and identify state agencies, policies, and regulations that influence the success of children and young adults at risk and in crisis.
2. Develop a process to identify and prioritize those policies and regulations that inadvertently impede the success of children and young adults at risk or in crisis.
3. Actively engage in the work of state agencies that influence policies and regulations.
4. Proactive identification and development of policies that enhance the success of children and young adults at risk or in crisis.
5. Draft an objective and task to influence teacher/administrator preparation and other child professionals.

1. Define the process for identifying nine regions in the state.
2. Identify key people in each regional area.
3. Establish a mechanism for agencies and individuals to access services within each respective region.
4. Define/develop membership in MSSN.
